Improvement idea: use a Buwizz. It's not an official product of Lego, but it is a very, very powerful battery and a Bluetooth receiver you can remote control with your phone, if you download the Buwizz app. It has a better range than these old infra-red receivers, is easyer to handle, especially smooth speed control and it has 4 outputs instead of just two.

See, this is what happens when you write a comment before finish watching the video. At the end he mentions using a Buwizz as an upgrade. But hey, at least I introduced people to Buwizz who didn't know about it.

I once built something similar, but you have great modularity. I like the ease of detaching your modules.

Mayby rubberbands on the tracks would help its grip

I love it! If I can suggest you some ideas you could add a suspension sistem and a crane and cargo setup for it to be an all-terrain transportation vehicle. I would also use linear actuators to make the tracks rotate as I think it would be way sturdier and lift more weight!

Hi, looking for a good suspension set up for a fast geared tracked vehicle with currently 2 xl motors. Input greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My thoughts: Video length is fine Use less motors and receivers Use a gearbox instead, with one motor to change modes

If you don’t have anuff officiall LEGO studs you could put tiny rubber bands for better grip

If and when you have a building layout and a parts list, I'd be very interested in purchasing a PDF!
