Thanks mate! My son asked for a LEGO motor for his 6th birthday and we wanted to future proof the investment but I just wanted to give him something simple to start with. With no coding experience and an old phone I have made a simple remote with 3 speeds and a stop button from your video. SUPER HELPFUL! Thanks so much for taking the time to help us all out.

Hi Thomas, Glad you found it useful. It's a pity Lego doesn't provide much help with this programming interface. 🙃

What if it shows "0%" when I connect to the app, and then the light goes out on the hub? I've changed the batteries twice, both times brand new out the pack 😢

any tips on how to setup the liebherr r9800 on the Lego Powered Up app?
@dinhtuan7522 жыл бұрын
no, but this needs hard work to program it, test it and someone answer that?
@dinhtuan752 Жыл бұрын
To set up the Liebherr R 9800 on the Lego Powered Up app, you need to connect the hubs on one at a time and wait for them to pair via Bluetooth. It takes a minute or so to do, but so far it has worked faultlessly, connecting first time and maintaining the connection for as long as you want it1. You can also drive forward, reverse, steer, extend, raise and lower the boom, open and tilt the bucket, and much more through the brand-new CONTROL+ remote-control free digital app2.

Thank you for the very informative video! While RacingBrick does have both a simplified explanation and a more detailed one, I'm wondering if there is an "official" documentation source from Lego, which would (hopefully) go into a bit more detail. I looked around but couldn't find anything that fits the bill. I suppose I should ask Balazs where he got his info. Heading over to your second tutorial for more goodness... Thx

Hi Patrick, I don't know of any official documentation. Not sure how they expect people to figure out the subtle differences between the available code blocks! I think racingbrick got it directly from some lego engineers that he has contact with. 🙃😂
@patrickdemets60182 жыл бұрын
@@TechnicBrickPower Yes, that's what I gathered as well from his comments on his code blocks page. Very true, how do Lego expect users to just "figure it out"? I have no problem with doing that, but I imagine it's not everyone's cup of tea. And besides, it's rather inefficient to have several dozen (hundred) users "figure it out" each on their own, each re-inventing the wheel as it were, when one well-crafted bit of docs would work wonders. Anyway, thanks so much for all the information you've gathered thus far, it's very helpful and builds on the whole knowledge base.
