Do you guys actually leave the Lego train track outside like that? How do you keep it from becoming messed up by nature?

The LEGO rails that are on the tiles are only put down when the weather is nice and are put back inside when my son has finished playing or when the weather is bad. The rails in the garden itself remain. Part of the rails have now been in the garden for two years in "all weather conditions". It still looks good, although a few rails have discoloured. When we run the trains, we clean the rails (that remain in the garden) with a damp cloth and remove leaves and other dirt.
