Such a beautiful animated Animation. Loved the effects, really love the practical blood and explosions. Also liked the Background shouting of the Germans, not the usual sounds I hear. Always happy to lend you my voice.

Great animation! The effects were great, and it seemed far more gritty and realistic then most of the over the top, action brick films.

it's terrific...and abominable, like war always is, and the first WW in particular. Did you ever read Alistair Horne's "The price of glory" ? It depicts wonderfully the horror of Verdun! Funny, and outstanding, that a lego reconstruction of Douaumont moved me this much! Well done!

The germans should be whereing steel helmets because that was the first battle with stormtroopers and they wore steel helmets but the captains and artillery crews didnt

The word "Jerry" is what the allies forces called the germans ww2 not in ww1

Nice animation! But, not to be mean or anything, this battle never happened. The French took the heavy guns from the fort and stationed elderly soldiers there. The Germans snuck up on the fort and captured the small garrison. The fort was captured without a shot.

He must have got the fort wrong. The germans didn't bombard the fort at all, in actuality, a german commander with a few men just wandered into the empty fort which held no resistance and basically captured it. If the french fought back, this video must be about Fort Vaux, not Douaumont.
