My neighbor fought in Luzon in the 11th airborne. He said the casualty rate for the 11th at Manila was pushing 75%. He was a BAR gunner and returned unscathed. He turns 96 in February.

My grandpa was there running a howitzer basically killing retreating Japanese. I am certain he'd have been laughing and felt honored by your efforts if he'd have been alive to see it. His favorite part about that battle was watching huge explosions on other islands and waiting for the sound wave. He laughed so hard every time he thought about it. He was always depressed to ponder the destruction and death and towards the end of his life he made it a point to study how the country had healed and developed. I always and to include here get the chills seeing a recreation of them arriving to take back the island.

This is one f the best World War Two Films I’ve seen recently. The audio for one is more accurate and is more clear crisp and realistic than the other chess game non copyright sounds other people use. The set designs and the animation were superb and I really liked the vfx they blended in seemlessly. Really good job on this!

The Filipino freedom fighters I think played a part in the Allied victory over Japan in the Philippine islands,as did all of the resistance groups would have over in Europe. The fighting in this sector of the Pacific would seen some of the bloodiest combat I think. Who knows how many ships are still entombed at the bottom of the ocean as well.
