Well Done! By the way: for the torque calculations you will not have the full gain each stage will have friction loss e.g. 10% on a normal gear and of coarse more on a worm gear due to more friction...

Nice model ! I knew this vehicle but did not know it hasn't suspensions but soft tire. For the torque on wheels, you have way less than 222n.cm as you use worm screw which decreases the mechanical power of about 70% so the torque is failing too. The more the world screw is under charge, the more the efficiency is low. Nevertheless, considering the scale is would be hard to use spur and bevel gearing, so always compromise.
@searme

The model is insane! Keep it up! Also, why are there small tires on the steering axle?

It helps to run the wheel smoothly because else there is a risk of friction with something else...
@racernatorde5318
@racernatorde5318 2 жыл бұрын
@@richardjulien1329 I thought that technique is mostly used to prevent the wheels from bending? I don't know the proper name for this, but it would look similar to his Mustang drift car, with some angle to it. I supposed it was necessary due to a somewhat fragil mounting? After all, there seems to be no connection form the axle, holding the 24 tooth gear, and the suspension unit itself
@searme
@searme 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it supports the wheels because the wheel mounts in the suspension units are a bit wobbly due to being so small.

About time to create a Russian/Soviet vehicle playlist. I'd binge that. Do you know of any LEGO Technic accessories that are able to emit quality sounds? Perhaps it would make for a nice SBrick attachment, a speaker unit loud and clear enough to imitate an engine. It could even be put in line with a motor wire, and change its sound accordingly! Seriously, excellent work. I agree with what you said about small models, but the MAZ-535 is just so much more visually impressive :D Now I challenge you to create a LEGO M3 Lee. Nobody has made a motorized one yet, and it has to have all three guns independently operable. That, or finish the T-34 XL (and make the hull MG work). Haha
@searme
@searme 2 жыл бұрын
Working hull MG should be easy, done a few already e.g. in my Tiger tank. M3 Lee looks just like a Sherman that had a terrible accident so I think I'll pass, thanks.
@real.ilya_remov
@real.ilya_remov 2 жыл бұрын
@@searme It's actually not based on the Sherman chassis at all. And hilariously, it wasn't as bad as it looks. You should try it, not every model has to be beautiful :D

By the way, with the place in the engine bay, does it means that we can use only PF elements to power the model? With the rechargeable battery in place of the buwizz and the IR receiver in place of the engine bay?
