You know. This really reminds me of shit I was told by a lot of assholes in my life. And I appreciate it both for showcasing why these people sucked so much AND highlighting the actually good message hidden in what they were saying. They never said "if the shoe fits[, keep it]". They just said "this isn't you, stop pretending". You don't find out if something is you if you aren't even allowed to try. If people aren't acting themselves, let them.
