I remember my son getting disco dance lessons and the basic step was, “grab the apple from the tree, put it in the basket”. And here we have these dancers doing exactly that. Watch when they reach high they are grabbing the apple and then when they bring their arm down, they are putting the apple in the basket.

Sadly that era was nearly over by the time of that performance (Legs & Co folded that same year), and as the 1980s got truly underway, disco gave way to New Romanticism, and Top of the Pops decided that they no longer "needed" an all-female dance troupe.

One of their sexiest performances. I remember about the time of the Iranian revolution (1979) they did a dance in Muslim outfits, except of course their skirts were very short. It doesn't seem to be available online, I wonder why.

At least now we have the videos on KZbin to watch at our leisure, whereas back then we had to make do with our ability to mentally conjure up the image (if you know what I mean). 😉
