to everyone saying stuff about the seat moving, that seat is not mounted incorrectly if you look at his video of heim driving at sebring it moves that same ammount. an it is moving not because it is mounted incorectly but because they flex. Yes race seats do flex, they are under tremendous g-force loads and they do flex.

to all those who says this seat's movement is normal and seats have sliders: A fast top notch GT will have the race bucket seat bolted directly to the tubular reinforced floor, extremely rigid, nearly no movement (within 5mm measure at top) at cornering g force. Drivers use seat and back paddings to compensate legs and upper body length difference. seats with this type of movement, just under 2 g side way force, they could tear apart or unbolt from chassis in severe accident.

@insite986 The seat has sliders to accomodate up to 4 or 5 drivers in 24h races like at Daytona, the Nurburgring or Zolder where lots of amateur drivers share costs for one car. I work at FIA-GT, Le Mans Series and Belgian GT as a photographer and have seen many GT3 RSR's in person on the grid and during pitstops. Seats are adjusted with sliders and have no back brace at all. Seat have to move a little to comfort the driver

as enjoyable as this is, watching him in a H pattern shifter in awesome! hell I can pull a sequential gear box shifter that well and I suck 😄

That seat has to move otherwise it will hurt the driver like breaking a rib or so. That happened to Marco Werner in the Audi R15 tdi. The seats in these prototypes are part of the chassis and so can't move. Werner didn't have the correct padding and the rib cracked as his body pushed against the seat. That movement is normal

@tommy9927 You don't want the seat to move around. One of the whole purposes of a racing seat and harness is to help keep the driver upright and prevent him from moving from the g forces he experiences.

Some drivers prefe to mount their seats on bushings to have some flex with their car, it's all preference. Look at other videos of Leh driving, he likes what he likes. Suprises to see him using a sequential box though, I've heard he is an H pattern guy.

1:10 Is that hill the one where Yannick Dalmas's Porsche 911 GT1 took off?

He ran around a 1:22, which is bloddy fast. The GT2 record there is a 1:19.

Needs a slightly longer diff. 6ths to short and so is 4th at 0.45s

The seat moves like crazy, it should have been very annoying for the driver.

Needs just a hair taller sixth gear for the back straight.

Looking at the picture of the white car at the beginning I think it's Leh's first ride in the RSR. Gearing is definately wrong as he's too long on the limiter in the Esses and the backstraight. At 0:45 when you compare to Pat Long's lap he goes down 2 gears there. 1:22 is fast, but with better setup and more seattime he can go faster But still, Leh is one heck of a driver, crowned GrandAm GT champion with Dirk Werner!!!
