Real nice video.Excellent scenery. Love this more remote region of PA.

There is only one reason I can think of to hand-off a loaded train from two SD40-2's to a single (POS) U23B. Tight radius curves from the hand-off point forward! No other logical reason comes to mind. Good video. Glad you (finally) showed the whole train!

@Foamer McFoamer I'm only impressed by former SCL U23BQ's! Lol!

Keeping my fingers crossed the Uboats stay. Love their sound.

Very well put together video.....the photogenic locations seemed to be carefully chosen for maximum effect and the train filmed in precisely the right spot. This is one of the finest rail videos I have seen to date and we should all appreciate the work you obviously put into it. It was a joy to watch! I ws also pleased that we were not treated to video of the entire length of the train at each location although others may disagree with me!

Thank you!! I appreciate the good words, I’m glad you enjoyed the video, always enjoy hearing feedback. I normally do one or two shots of the full train during the chase but most of the time it’s just the first few cars til it’s onto the next spot.

Nice video Dan, this definitely is a railroad I need to check off my bucket list in the future.

Thanks dude! I’d recommend going soon as RJ Corman just took over, so I’d imagine some red and white power will be coming soon, granted, I’ll be back for that for damn sure, lol.

@@trainutjob Even if I don’t find the chance before RJ Corman takes over, I’m still willing to shoot the red and white because this seems fairly undershot compared to let’s say RBMN and DL in NEPA. Thanks for the info!

The conductor 13:05 was very hot on doing the job. He barely waited until the locos were clear before he moved the switch. That must have been a pretty hefty load for one modest sized GE.
@trainutjob4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they were over that crossing in town there, it was a quick handoff there, never seen anything like it, clockwork. The GE was working hard, I counted 53 cars.

I have been stuck behind this switch job before. They try to get it done as fast as possible.

Great capture of the almost forgotten northern section of the former Lehigh Valley RR and with Corman ready to take over, very timely as the Lehigh Railway becomes another fallen flag.

Thank you!! The take over is official on paper now I believe, so these guys have become a fallen flag just like that. Hopefully the transition is smooth for the employees.

The crossing of that bridge looks a slow affair. Looks like a 5 mph limit across it.

Hopefully that GE doesn’t get sold to rot at NRE or LTE

I have heard through the rumor grapevine that R&N has been scouting for more acquisition. I'm surprised RJ Coorman got to it before them.

I can already tell you RJ Corman is not going to bother keeping the u-23B's

Hey man, I've begun working with the railroad and I don't understand a lot of the shorthand and stuff they talk about. I'm based in the Harrisburg area and when I've had trouble locating some of the stops I go to, your videos pop up quite often. Do you have any kind of website or information you could pass to me to make my life easier? Assume I have no knowledge at all because I honestly don't. I just transport the conductors and engineers but there's not a lot of resources available to me.
