When I was married in the 90s, we loved our Lehman's catalog and wore it out big time dreaming of what to get. It is so great that now days the young couples can get all their info on youtube for off grid living. Great help for them. Love Lehmans!

I have the breathable washer, the large drying rack, the small glass washboard, the Kevins quality clothespins for my outdoor line, and the clothespin bag. I have my eye on several other laundry-related things there at Lehman's. Momma shopped there when we lived in Pa and the things she had are still in good shape. I have been impressed with the quality of the items from here.

Lol. They do. Many people use a mop bucket with wringer either with a spin mop style or I have heard more of the commercial mop buckets with wringers. Have a ninja spinner I purchased last winter and I really enjoy it. Does not cost too much to run and cuts down quite a bit on my summer portable fan to dry(I really do not need the portable fan anymore to dry) and in the winter cuts down considerably on the use of a portable heater. My bathroom has an automatic yet tricky moisture vent sensor. I finally learned going to have to quit figuring it out and ignore. Probably not a good unit...am thinking of upping my off grid game of purchasing a $90 rubbermaid commercial mop with a wringer. Has a nice style with extra features and hope it fits my bathtub. The spinner does well for lap blankets and bath towels along with sweathshirts and thick winter sock need to get past the learning curve of off balanced loads when the machine starts it's spin action. Takes about 3-5minutes per load. Water spilled more on my learning curve so having a mop nearby to do the mopping the floor a bit anyways chore helps. The Panda has similiar features. Basically a twin. The Ninja has one or two extra features that I am glad I made this purchase. No more handwringing for me and I wooden laundryclip(either my summer portable fan will be on or sun-breezes through a high open window) and my clothes do not slip. Hang to dry over the shower curtain rod. Dry times depending on garments and heat-humidity are from one hour to generally five hours max is the range for most people. I do mine either in the morning and by nightfall I 'know' the clothes are ready to be put away..same if I did at night, by morning they are completely dry. Some people use a dehumidifier with or without a spinner to extract the water and to prevent mold-mildew issues.

Have heard many people state they have to raise the wash machine by using items like bricks. Yes it looked expensive to me years ago. But often window shopping for wash machines, a manual machine like this in the long run is the cheaper way to go and should last a lifetime with little or no maintance. My next move I will probably not have a gravity drain. I need a unit to do my medium full-queen sized comforters so I am hoping for an electrolux 500 series with my preferred features includes both excellent water and electric efficiency. But in the meantime, would hope this fits in my tub as the water release is gravity fed and sure hope they would take monthly payments. But if one could purchase...these machines would recoup in money invested to last a lifetime and not about 10-12 years. The newer HP machines do not always clean well and seem to need regular cleaning machine maintance.
@carolinerose5743
@carolinerose5743 Жыл бұрын
For that price, one would think that they could afford to put longer legs on it, and use hardwood for the legs instead of cheap pine. It looks like a back breaker to me! Even with a long "swisher pole", you would still have to bend down to load it, drain it, and run the clothes through the wringer.

Love these products. Currently am doing my laundry in the tub dedicated plunger style. Might get the washing wand..have been doing this laundry system for four years since I moved in. Last winter I purchased a Ninja Spinner. It's close competitor is the Panda. It extracts remarkably a huge amount of water out of garments. Excellent for thick winter socks, sweatshirts and bath towels(sometimes the towels need a very decent draining before going into the spinner). The spinners are designed to run about 3-5minutes max per like load. I tend to do smaller loads. The balancing I am finally learning seems to work best is to place a heavier item on top of the load. If off balance it can walk, rock sometimes violently. A container of any type five inches in height needs to go under the spout. I am in the habit of doing my yoga or physical therapy stretches or a few push ups while the machine is extracting to both pass time well and just in case it starts rocking and I need to open the lid to rebalance. As annoying as it has been since my purchase not always but often, a heavy wet item on top of the other wet clothes seems to do almost always well. But in the long run, no one better think about taking this machine away from me without a huge fight! I have been able to reuse the rinse water for another load of laundry and in my drought stricken area this is awesome. It can have it's water drips on occasion especially during the learning curve so I keep a mop nearby and just mop the floor a bit. No more handwringing. The spinner spins at 3200rpm(revolutions per minute)and I have heard some people stated 100mph. Speeds up the drying times quite a bit! In the summers not always needed, but I run a portable fan to speed up the drying time. In the winters I use a portable heater. My apt bathroom already vented to automatically kick on with it's moisture sensor but it is tricky and I do not care for or rely too much on that for my laundry routine. That vent to figure out is a bit frustrating. Other people will use a dehumidifier to extract the drying laundry moisture out of the air to also speed up dry times and prevent mold-moisture. But my Ninja has done remarkably well on my thick, winter socks!! After spinning them usually in the mornings, I laundry clip them on to plastic hangers over the shower rod(they are past a dripping dry stage) and by early evening they are completely dry. I do not watch the time too much as temp can vary. Same for the evening. Once through the spinner, clip and hang dry and in the mornings compleletly dry. Did my research on the Panda also. These units almost like twin units except the lid operations a bit different and the Ninja seems to have a valid system in place with cutting down the sometimes unbalanced load (part of that kicks in when the machines get turned on). So I am glad I went with the Ninja brand. As for the electric costs going into it, seems it is a money saver as generally now I spend little or money on a summer portable fan and was definitely much less this past winter operating the portable heater. Was nice not to have to really wring even once and it eliminates my rotation of clothes in the winter to make sure all clothes are drying well...would highly recommend a spinner but maybe a bit of trade off is that sometimes load unbalance violently rocking and walking has most people with a learning curve. With the spinner, I actually save on drying costs(and time put into this task!!) and until my next move, fits my budget and laundry very well.
