I bought one of these a few months ago after hearing you mention it a few times, and I'm glad I did; Wonderful amp!

They theoretically have components which can change with use, I'm just going from what I've heard. Ray Samuels Audio recommend letting their amplifiers burn in, for example.

Hey, I'm wondering do you need a DAC for a headphone amp to work? I just orded a Graham Slee Novo and now I'm wondering if they'll even work going straight from my laptop to them to my headphones. Thanks

I was wondering where I could purchase one or other Lehmann Audio products in the USA, preferably in the New York or New Jersey area.

How does this amp compare to the Burson HA160-DS for the Denon AH-D 7000?

Check out the Lake People G100. It's also from German and outputs about 1100 milliwats to 240 ohms, so it is extremely powerful. It is strictly for studio use and it's even slightly more neutral than Black Cube. The difference isn't huge, I consider them to be about the same level. It's now been upgraded to the G109 model.

How do you think this amp would go with the HD800. Do they have a good synergy together? Particularly when it comes to soundstage and instrument separation.

Hey Mike, I just wanna say, you're great! I love your vids! Keep up the good work! By the way, I have the Black Cube Linear and in my opinion it's the best headphone amp you can get. I enjoy my music every day with the BCL ^^

Does the Lehmann audio has enough power to power the LCD2 or HE560? It has a gain of 20db.

Yep but you are better off with a v200 violectric as it gives more current which is what those headphones need

hifiguy528, can you please give me an advice on portable amp for Sennheiser HD 600? I want to get iBasso D2+ Boa (something small enough to carry around). How do you think is it good enough? Maybe you can recommend something else?

May I ask a non hi fi question? I was wondering how you feel your videos or audience have evolved from a year ago. I was watching some of your old vids, and it was nuts how many negative votes they would get. Nowadays, it seems like you get universal love. Do you think the change is that your audience 'found' you? Or did you make many deliberate changes to the pacing/content of your vids? Or did your target audience just happen to find you? Or some combination of all of the above?

i found the Lehmann Audio Linear Pro Black II at a great price. I was interested in the pro model as it has balanced xlr connections as opposed to rca, This makes it easier for me as I don't have to keep unplugging from my dac when i wan to listen to headphones and the audio lab mac has both rca and xlr outputs. What I wanted to ask is will the pro be tuned differently or is it the same sound quality?

I don't think the Lehman Black Cube Linear is worth its price. The Corda Jazz definitely sounds as good as it, but only costs 365€ (don't know the $ price atm) Did you already listen to it?

I used this along side my WA6, really impressed though i found a lot of my headphones harsh sounding, i guess im a tube guy and prefer a more warm sound signature.

If it's still in good condition, then there's no reason not too. Some might even prefer second hand amps considering it will already be burned in.

Not bad, very simple circuit. Probably the most cloned of all the high end gear. Super easy to build your own...... Even sourcing parts from reliable US sources it can be cloned for like $200.00 Some of the "counterfeit" units are actually using much better parts. Parts quality vary by source.

I still can't see how a very mature technology would require any costly development. Putting it together in some developing country also costs close to nothing.

It always bugged me how manufacturers can justify such a price? This is not rocket science to build them and the parts probably wouldn't cost more that $300.
@67spankadelik

Over priced as Lehmann usually is on everything they make. For the price of this you can get a Burson with built in dac and plenty of power. All in a heavy beautiful case. So heavy you can't pick it up with one hand and twirl it like a baton like what's happening in this video. . And little chance of counterfeit. This looks like a project case. I'm sure it sounds great but the presentation does not match the cost.

Then you aren't the target consumer. I'd also be rather hesitant about spending $1400 on one amp, but plenty of people have the cash to buy stuff like that.
