In an Exclusive Interview with Lehren, veteran filmmaker Vijay Anand shared his thoughts on the evolution of Indian cinema from his time to the present day & discussed about the budgeting, profit, music & parameters of labelling a movie as Super-Hit in both the eras. The Guide director revealed that he was initially against censorship in turn supporting minimal cuts in a film, but as being the Chief of the Censor Board for a brief time, the latter felt that censorship was necessary as many filmmakers had emerged in the industry & the same was necessary to avoid the misuse of cinematic freedom & creativity. Vijay Anand is the best director of all time, his films Guide and Teesri Manzil is amoung top 5 cinema of all time. His earlier films b/w classics for his brother Dev Anand are so beautifully made. Jewel thief and johny mera naam outstanding films. His picturezition of songs has stamp of his own creativity. Music in his films are major contributions, so many Marvelous songs. Teesri Manzil the musical suspense thriller produced by nasir Hussain which Vijay Anand directed to show his versatility. Hail Vijay Anand 🎉

Vijay Anand was a fascinating filmmaker who gave a new dimension into filmmaking by giving a Hollywoodian sheen and gloss to movies with his action-packed Teesri Manzil (1966), Jewel Thief (1967) and Johnny Mera Naam (1970). His Guide (1965) remains a landmark film in the history of mainstream cinema. It was not only his biggest blockbuster but also his most critically acclaimed movie, celebrated by the masses, the classes and music-lovers alike.

Jab interview lene wala hi johny mera naam ke baare mein nahin puch raha toh wih us par kya baat karein. Tumhara comment padjar lagta hai ki anand brothers ko khud ko savit karne ke lite tumhara certificate chahiye.
