Most comprehehensive video on this camera I have seen. This is not an easy camera to get used to, so this video was extremely helpful. I have both the original and Sofort2, and the 2 is better for many reasons, but primarily the ability to print what you want. Thanks!! Great job.

Not even finished with this video, but very comprehensive and detailed review. How you review the features of the camera, and also camera orientation so that you don’t end up with an upside down image. Sure seems obvious but good to point out!

Thank you for sharing. From what I've seen this camera is a re-skin of an Instax Mini EVO. You might borrow the mini EVO and do a head to head comparison. See if there are any differences.

Really useful thanks,. I have a Q3 and love it and if I had not already got the Evo, I might have bought the Softort. But I will keep the Eve as (besides Favourites and -IMHO - a better looking camera) I really could not justify the switch. Really good vidio, thanks.

Me personally..I still prefer the "wide" format Fuji instax..over these regular Instax film..to bad Fuji hasn't not made a new "wide Format" camera in this style of analog/digital hybrid..that would be great..

Man I'm so conflicted on this. I have the first Leica Sofort in Red and have gone through tons of instax with it. Kinda disappointed that the new Sofort 2 is not a full analogue instax camera but a printer disguised in a Leica 'body'. On the other hand, it is great to duplicate and print out key moments you took to share with your friends and family. Ahhhhh.

The Leica Sofort 2 is technically based on the Fujifilm instax mini Evo and a luxury product. If you like the design, which is a subjective personal taste and can afford it, why not getting one. Instant cameras are so much fun to use.

Love this in detail video of the Sofort 2 and how much detail you went into with it in terms of comparisons, real world view, functions etc. Surprised you didn't get sent the "Leica" film they're selling though to cover too. The only video I've seen online so far and love the depth.

Upon reading reviews, this camera doesn't produce nice images but the colour rendering is really better compared to instax. I think people are just buying this for the brand. Imo, it's better to get the Canon CP1500.

The only drawback is the 5mp sensor, only ok for instax way, it could be nicer to have more mp as phone is the major shooting gear, and it’s only print out the physical copies

Is it possible to instant transfer the photos to phone without print it? Because the Instax Mini Evo need to be printed before able to transfer to the app.

Instax is not to comparable to discontinued polaroid . The scale is so poor , very expensive , for what you get . Almost uncontrollable exposure and contrast . I have used intax wide on large format with , well , it gives an instant image At a big price , hit and miss . The fact you can upload an edited image is it’s saving grace , as a printer . Great review , keep it up !

For over $300 dollars I rather buy a Fuji film digi cam with Fuji recipes. However I like the idea still that Leica did here .

This is same product to fuji evo but i bought this one because of much better design. This camera is really cutteee. I think really worth it. We paid it that leica design. If someone want to buy affordable camera just buy Fuji.

If you don’t want to print, can you still use it as a digital and offload the pics to the Fotos app or your computer to print there or upload on the internet?

i don't think so, if you look at the lens on the instax mini evo and the sofort they look identical, and the sooc (Straight Out Of Camera) photos shown in the video are almost identical to the evo ones.

You’re paying a premium for plastic. Its the same as the instax, and if you get the fuji, you can save yourself tons of money, and buyers remorse too.

Yeah its a poor quality cheap digital camera and an Instax link printer. Why wouldn't I just but a printer for 1/3 of the cost and you my phone which has a larger sensor, and higher megapixel count since the conclusion was canon raw files printed after edit were better.

I could totally see a new Leica 35mm camera of this style design for sure or even a new point and shoot from leica. This is basically a test bed for a possible M mount EV viewfinder for the modern camera.
