I have this great lens as part of my Leica equipment. Good video.

Hey that's great. Are you liking it?

I love your content, could you make a video on metering for high contrast scenes on film?

I'll keep that in mind.

Rob, More catnip for me! Thanks a lot. In 1989, my partner and I carried an M4-P, 35mm f/2 and 90/2.8 Tele Elmarit with us on a 19-day canoe trip from Dog Lake (west of Chapleau, ON) on the Missinaibie River system to Moose Factory Is. (a few km upriver from James Bay). 600 km of paddling. And an enormous number of portages. 1990: Along the Albany R. from Hearst, ON to Fort Albany on James Bay. (400 km, no portages!) 1991: A week paddling on Lake Superior (Pukaskwa Nat. Park). Wilderness Leica for the win. I love that 35/5.6. Superb choice! You pronounce “film” exactly like my dad did. He grew up in Toronto’s Queen St. East are, only a block away from the enormous water pumping station. Thanks, thanks, thanks. I love your storytelling. (From Victoria, BC).

Thanks. Those are huge canoe trips. I did two solo trips two summers ago, just to try it. Canoe trips are defined by the portages' more than the paddles. Tomorrow I'm going to the "Toronto Outdoor Show" to plan this summers adventures. Should be fun.

Enjoyable story of visiting the park. Cheaters for sure ! Lovely lens but with filter use it’s certainly tripod friendly.

Likely a good choice to show water flowing over waterfalls, since it's a bit slow.

Thank you. I’ve thought about getting the copy of this lens but can’t do it. Saving. Beautiful shots.

You are a great storyteller! I allways took a Rollei 35 on such occasions but I guess you cannot compare the quality to your setup?
@stillshootinginblackandwhite11 ай бұрын
I'm sure the Rollei was great. I haven't used that one. I did have the Nikon 35Ti but it wasn't reliable and not much smaller than the Leica setup.

Thank you for your very informative video. I can't seem to find that Lowepro pouch you show. Can you shoot me the product name on it? Thanks.
@stillshootinginblackandwhite11 ай бұрын
The one I have is called the Lowepro Viewpoint CS40... www.lowepro.com/global/viewpoint-cs-40-lp36915-pww/ It's designed for a GoPro and mini tripod. Sony used alot of them to hold one camera/no lens while packing gear for tradeshows. They also make a CS60 and a CS80 that hold a bit more gear.
