I took a Leica ICP workshop with Ed in NYC a few years ago and it was a great, productive, inspiring day. I was sad to read of his passing in the NY Times. Glad to see this interview posted.

Ed gives great advice! It's not the equipment, it is all you. Be relaxed, be very observant, be respectful to place, time and moment. Use simple cameras and lenses that you are totally familiar with.

Great video. I met Ed Keating a few years ago on Martha’s Vineyard. He was selling photos, with his lovely wife, at an art fair. If I hadn’t been on my bicycle I would have purchased one of his images. I regret not having done so to this day. He was great to chat with. I recently purchased his Route 66 book - a masterpiece. RIP Ed.

so basically decieve and lie? its ok not to do it in general but in photography and getting what YOU want s different. this doesnt sound right, sound unethical
