The biggest problem this Arsenal team have is that they dont have enough players who can raise their performance or create that "little bit of magic". Look at that run of scoring late Ljundberg had at the end of the 01-02 season- when Pires was ruled out for the season Freddie rolled up his sleeves and upped his game, Is Miki going to do something like that? - NO. Did I see anyone else stepping up to the plate and leading the team like Rambo did before he got injured? - NO. Next season is Iwobi going to go to Anfield, beat his man, then curl in a worldy from outside the box and have a motm performance like Pires did in 03? - NO. Is Mustafi going to bravely win and head every damn ball away from danger to hold onto a 1-0 lead at Old Trafford for a 40 minute onslaught like Campbell did to win the league? - NO. These players are nowhere near the quality or character needed to produce moments like this. Look at Liverpool and Man City this season - they have a number of players capable of this performance level, every week they put it on the line and get results. However us Gooners understand the current predicament. We know Mustafi isnt Campbell or Adams, we know Miki isnt, Pires or Ljundberg, we know Xhaka sure as shit isnt Vieira, but if they were to play with the intensity and desire that teams like Wolves, or Burnley have shown this season and still lose, then we would say - "fair enough,you gave it your best shot". It's now up to the manager and owner to show some backbone and go sign players capable of producing performances like the previous mentioned. If you can't get those players, then get players on the same level that show the same level of commitment they are showing at clubs like Wolves. Sprinkle some of them hardworking committed players in with some of the good (not amazing) players Arsenal currently have, then they can progress maybe enough to make top 4. They would have at least have given it their all. You think if Liverpool dont win the league this season their fans will call them cowards and bottlejobs? - NO!- they have given it everything this year, even won more points than any other title winning Man U team has and its only because of a freakishly strong City team playing out of their skins Liverpool probably wont win the title this year. As for Arsenal I'm sure i am not the only fan who is finding it harder and harder to back players who dont give their all, I can't cheer on a player who loses the ball, then holds his hands up and strolls back. Why should I show passion and commitment to a club when the players show none? Like-wise to the board and owner, I wont be going back to The Emirates until they show me the same level of passion and desire. Instead Il sit back, look at my signed Henry shirt framed on my wall, and reminisce how I was sat in a little Cornish transport cafe back in 1989 at 7 years old watching people cheering, banging cups on tables while on the TV Michael Thomas scores a last minute goal to decide a title. That's the Arsenal I love, not these overpaid, bang average, uncommitted cowards. And thats the concern- every season that goes by Arsenal become a less and less appealing prospect. The pull the heroes of yesteryear have becomes weaker. Aubameyang idolised Henry growing up and it was one of the reasons he probably signed for Arsenal. The day of heroes is getting further and further away and soon the top players we wanna sign won't have grown up watching the Invincibles, wont have even heard of legends like Ian Wright, David Seaman or the heroics of Michael Thomas back in 89. Then there's the new generation of supporters, you think kids nowadays are in parks imitating Ozil or Mane? Xhaka or De Bruyne?

My Arsenal player ratings as a LCFC fan: Leno 9/10 - Supreme performance throughout main highlight unbelievable reflex save in first half and kept score down. Mustafi 5/10 - Average game but not great this season from what I know in terms of mistakes but did alright in this one. Sokaritis 0/10 - Was abysmal and one of two players at fault for second goal that Vardy scored by allowing our goal kick to go over him and let it bounce which is Sunday League stuff and criminal. Kolasinac 3/10 - Got bullied in wide areas particularly in second half when Ricardo Pereira and Albrighton attacked that side a lot and offered nothing going forward. Maitland-Niles 1/10 - His sending off turned the game really and caused loss of the structure and shape Arsenal were setting up. Torreira 6/10 - Did try his best in midfield but others didn't help him in terms of work rate. Xhaka 1/10 - Shocking performance and was at fault for opening goal from Tielemans by letting him go on a free run into box with free header into the net. Mkhitaryan 1/10 - Went missing throughout the game and didn't give strikers service at all. Iwobi 1/10 - Same mark really and another player that went missing without service for centre forwards. Didn't notice that he was jogging back at one point. Lacazette 3/10 - Had no service and didn't test Maguire and Evans too much. Aubameyang 2/10 - Worse performance ever really considering how brilliant he has been for them all season, went missing as well as lack of service. Subs: Koscielny 2/10 - Made a good block for one of our attempts in second half but for second goal at fault for letting goal kick go over him and let ball bounce for vardy to score. Guendouzi 6/10 - Was average but got stuck in, not too much he did wrong and can't be blamed really for their performance. Nkeitah 5/10 - Didn't have enough time in the game really. Manager: Emery 5/10 - Lineup was alright but players are letting him down continually away from home. Fans 7/10 - Stuck behind the team throughout most of game but some left after second goal went in which isn't right no matter how poor the team played stay behind and back your team.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: sell laca or Auba in the summer. Multiple justifications: 1. The modern game does not favor two strikers. Every successful team is playing a one striker formation whether it be 4231 or 433. No point in having two world class strikers if one is gonna be on the bench 2. We can afford to lose one. With nketiah coming through and hopefully welbeck coming back, those 2 could provide decent rotation options 3. Money. We need money in the summer and we could easily invest the money into a prolific winger or centerback that could impact every game

Scoring 19 goals requires a lot of natural ability including positional sense, ability to finish and finishing technique. Plus in the league it doesn't matter if you score against top 6 or bottom 6, because your goals are of equal importance regardless. Salah has a poor goalscoring record against the top 6 this season, so he also must be a shit player right? 19 goals in a league season hardly makes him blatantly shit. The only thing that's blatant is that you are either just a hater, or you are just fickle and can't see that without his goals the team would be struggling to finish even in the top 10.

Very true, this team is more like a 04/05 Crystal Palace team than an Arsenal team. We literally need to buy a whole new defence/midfield to ever stand a chance of winning the league again.
