Leicestershire Curry Awards 2024

The Leicestershire Curry Awards 2024, held last night at the Athena Leicester, celebrated the best of the city’s vibrant curry scene.
The event, known for its glamour and excitement, brought together food enthusiasts, restaurateurs, and local celebrities from across the County.
This year’s awards saw My Delhi winning the Best Street Food category, while Aylestone Spice took home the Best Takeaway award, and a special mention to the Best New Restaurants, What a Shot for the city and Avatar Dining for the county.
The highlight of the evening was the Restaurant of the Year award, which went to Chutney Ivy in the City, recognized for its exceptional cuisine and service, and Spice of India in the County.
The event also featured dazzling performances by the R & R Entertainment dancers, adding a touch of sparkle to the proceedings.
Judges, including Gary Newby and Nishan Canagarajah, praised the high standards and diversity of the entries.
