wish influencers would stop supporting better help lol I work for a community mental health agency as a licensed therapist and we got an email this week about how the layoffs they had led to unethical terminations for some clients and high cases loads for providers

I actually had a terrible experience with better help, the person I was matched with talked to me about her own problems with her family, relationships, etc more than she would ask about mine, and when I would bring something up she would ask rhetorical questions to kind of ridicule what I was feeling/going through. It was my first experience with therapy and I haven’t tried going back. Would recommend an agency like yours a thousand times before better help 🥴

Better help was also my first therapy experience and it was… not it. My therapist didn’t remember a single thing each week so I got to relive trauma over and over lol. I PROMISE you there is better therapists out there! Don’t be afraid to try again (and again if the next one isn’t the right fit). Hang in there ❤
