She did an amazing documentary highlighting the racism that occurs not only within the entertainment industry but in life in general. And how black women are consistently sidelined and ill treated just because their considered less desirable than their lighter and whiter counterparts. We need to shed light on topics like this more often to educate people about the different levels of racism that exist and how it runs rampant within communities, institutions, professions, and education. We as a community need to do more to shed light on these issues and bring it to the for front and teach this generation that the colour of your skin does not disable you from achieving anything, you have more power within you to achieve anything and it's the ignorance of others that will always feel threatened by you. God loves you, and your family and friends will support you no matter what you're going through in life.
