from 6:00 I was deeply touched, thank you Lele. Thank you for speaking out for the Chinese , I really appreciate it! Now the whole country is running crazy, and ppl we loved are suffering from it.
I teared up when I heard you say that you’re scared too at the end, you are brave and righteous to speak up against the biggest mafia in the world. Chinese people will appreciate what you’ve done for us, and I wish you all the best. We’ll fight this war together. 加油乐乐!

Got to see this video with 3 years of delay, I still want to say thank you for doing what you do, you don't loose China, there are people are with you.
loved it ! As a European who has a pretty similar story (being in China around 16 yo, fluent in Chinese as well, with my best friends and best memories in China), most of what you said resonated with me. I'm going through the same thoughts. China is the best thing that happened to me. Learning Chinese has changed me and my life in so many ways. That's why I don't want to speak up and get banned. I feel like my life would no longer have meaning. But if we, who love and understand China, do not speak, who will? Who will ever care enough to? It's a dilemma that leads to self-censorship and to a paradox: the people who are best poised to criticize China are those who have nothing to lose.
@jinwong53784 жыл бұрын
I really appreciate it that you love China and have this kind of thoughts.那这段我就中文发了,反正你应该也看得懂,我相信未来这一切都会好的,社会发展要进步的话,人民的智慧还是得跟上的,保持乐观一点嘛哈哈哈

Thank you, Lele. Your words remind me Jon Stewart. He used to discuss China in his show. At the end of the episode, he concluded that "Maybe we (American and Chinese people) are not as different as we thought." (not exact words but similar meaning). As what you mentioned in the video, Chinese people and American people are similar in most of cases. But due to some political issues and ignorance of the other country, people start to regard someone from the other side of the earth as an imaginary enemy or freak. Politicians have been utilising the misunderstanding/ignorance to manipulate people's anger. Wish your channel could help Americans and Chinese know each other in a better way.

The CCP caused 200 millions China people dead during Great Leap Forward in 1960. Are those Chinese people not people? The CCP caused ten of thousands of people dead during the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution. Are those people not the people? The CCP caused thousands of students dead during 1989 June 4th. I might not fully agree with u as I do witness the great changes China has made over the last decade (during which I was abroad in Germany). I'm not gonna pretend as if I understand a pinch of politics but I'm grateful for the lives I am able to have. So as a mainlander while I do see the political oppressions here and there , I don't necessarily feel resentful against CCP.
