For a channel purportedly for military topics, there sure is a lot of straight-up WRONG information presented here. Neither the A-10 or F-35 carry the M61 Vulcan 20mm cannon. A-10 has the GAU-8 Avenger 30mm, and the F-35 has the GAU-22 25mm cannon. Makes me wonder how much information on the other weapon systems presented is wrong. That's what you get for letting AI write your report without proof reading it before submitting it.

I’ve personally witnessed the power of this Vulcan cannon on an attacking A-10. It is and awesome sight. The AC-130 gunship is even more awesome. We should have had these weapons in Vietnam but the AC-130 wasn’t available yet. The sea-witch is equally impressive as it engages missiles. I’m very glad we have it. I think laser weapons will be even more important for defense against missiles.

12:40 looks like the new and improved 16S Avenger crew served system minus a few crew. This would have been nice to have back in the day when they were outfitting unarmored Humvees and slapping this system minus the 25 mm auto cannon and smart munitions and saying you are rear echelon troops then giving you orders to move by night all alone to a dirt road in the middle of no where with no back up. You are our eyes and ears so don't get them blown off before you can use your radio....this looks to be a better system.

A chain gun works for a ship or large aircraft but what kind of armored vehicle would run its entire ammunition load dry too fast to be sustainable on the battlefield?
@bradatherton936918 күн бұрын
The Apache uses the 30mmx113mm which is 340 grams (0.75 lbs) and has a payload of 1200 rounds. That's what, 900 lbs? The payload of an armored vehicle such as the Bushmaster is 4-5 tons, which can easily carry more rounds than the Apache. The M230LF is rated at 200 rounds per minute and 22,000 rounds between failures, so at full bore the Apache can unload in 6 seconds and 110 seconds to reach 22,000 rated shots. What's your definition of sustainable? Nothing with consumables is sustainable. Just wait until lasers proliferate. Now that's sustainable 😉

There is no problem with producing enough electrical power to power a laser. Just put an EV pack in it. A Model S Plaid makes 1020hp, which is like 750kw. Your laser was 50. That's nothing. Yes, you will need to charge it later with a generator. So what.
