I'm surprised Lelouch didn't bring up Mao. He lived in a "world without lies," and it drove him insane and brought untold amounts of misery. True, it's doubtful that Charles and Marianne had even heard of him, but a brief mention of a Chinese man with a mind-reading Geass would've been a nice callback.

IMO, I would say that Schneizel was truly evil (he fits the profile of a true narcissist/sociopath). Charles on the other hand, was someone who had had enough of the world (the life he had when he was younger), and was maddened by the events in his life; he flew off the deep end (along with his brother).
LightAndDarkMdness02 I don't think Schneizel was sociopathic or sadistic, and he definitely wasn't a narcissist due to his own self-sacrificing nature. He was too detached from humanity to fully comprehend his own evil. He reminded me more of Light Yagami and his God-complex, or some twisted martyr willing to die even if it meant harming others.

BEST VOICE ACTOR E-V-E-R.
@THAT.RANDOM.GUY_8 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna admit it, but I much prefer the dub for this anime. As much as it hurts to say that, I feel like the casting done for the original audio was in poor taste. If you listen to the Japanese voice actor, it doesn't seem like it comes naturally to him. Kind of awkward. In the English dub however, one can feel all the emotions and they all fit in.

Well Japanese Lelouch does have the same voice actor as Japanese Grell from Kurôshitsuji.

What would happen if Rolo or Mao was here? Like seriously, what would Mao hear? Or what would happen if Rolo stopped God's perception of time?
@nahte12345610 жыл бұрын
I don't believe either would reach, and it's implied that Lelouch's geass only worked because 'god' allowed it.
@projectpems830410 жыл бұрын
nahte123456 ...wait when and how did it imply that?
@nahte12345610 жыл бұрын
Brian Ngo He say's "this is a request" which means he's asking 'god' to do something, using Geass to deliver the request, not commanding him. This is compounded by Charles belief that he couldn't do it, considering how related their powers are, and Charles never did so, although he would have tried. So Charles could not command 'god', but Lelouch could ask 'god' and be answered. Or at least that seems the most likely chain of advents.

Paul Ubbink I guess you were talking to me. Since you understood the plot, can you explain a few things to me? 1) Why did Marian and Charles die? I know that their world was rejected by Lelouch, but that doesn't mean they should die as well. Lelouch never ask God to eliminate their existence. Just for "tomorrow" Keeping the world the way it was before does not required their deaths. 2) Right after this, Lelouch conquer the strongest country in the world in 2 minutes. If it was so easy, why didn't he do this at episode 2? How did he even get there in the first place? It shouldn't be that easy. 3) Lelouch had access to a deus ex machina right there. It was literally called that. Why didn't he just ask God to remove the fleja and Schniezel so we can avoid a WW3 and not have thousands of people lose their lives? 4) Marian said that the dead will be reunited with the living ( Euphy) How does that work? I not even sure. They never really explained that well at all. They just gave it one sentence which seem like a pretty major plot point, and they just gloss over it. Plus, why would Suzaku not want to see Euphy? 5) This is the biggest part that confused me. Charles and Marian's world basically just wanted to take away the ability to lie. That was it. Then Lelouch started talking about how that world would never change, but alot of things will changed. So much will change. Just because people can never lie does not mean that humanity will be incapable of building new technology, new forms of governments, and philosophies. Hence, progress will still happen. Lelouch was putting words in his mouth.

Indigo I probably don't have the real answers, but let me try. 1) I think the two of them served as the source for the Ragnarok Connection because they supported it, the ones using the Sword of Akasha, hence their elimination was probably necessary to grant Lelouch's plea. 2) Lelouch at the beginning most likely didn't have the same resolve after he left C's world, to bear burdens which led to the brilliant ending. Such as ordering people to obey all his orders, taking away their complete liberty, with that it won't be really a problem ordering a transport. 3) Aside from the Ragnarok Connection and Geass, I don't think it can affect anything outside C's world, besides it'd be against Lelouch's request of preventing the use of the Ragnarok Connection. 4) It's a part of their goal, pretty much the Collective Unconscious is every single person's conscience, and their goal was to unite the dead ones of the Collective Unconscious and the living world, that of which would include Euphy but since she probably wouldn't want that, he declined. 5) It's actually pretty much fusing every single person into a single being, the Collective Unconscious, so no one can lie to anybody, and their would probably be no real individuality. These are all just speculations BTW.

Man, I wish there was some way Lelouch could've lived! He was so epic, the world doesn't know it but it has lost a brilliant life. Some people believe he's alive still because of the end scene, the driver of the wagon C.C.'s on looks like Lelouch.
@killinMrmac11 жыл бұрын
He is alive, after he kills his father he gains Code, before this he only had Geass, hence why the show is called Code Geass. C2 only had code, which is immortality, and now Lelouch has it, after receiving it from his father upon killing him.

If Lelouch really did take Charles' code and become immortal, it would actually make sense, at 4:32 Lelouch tells suzaku to stay out of it, he could have wanted suzaku to stay back so he could get the code. Just a theory, I know the creators said that they are leaving his supposed death up to the viewer's interpretation.

Lelouch's power is quite amazing. Other than the conditions and rules he needs to follow. His power quite literally is Will. He didn't command god in this instance instead he asked. This is amazing. Because it shows that his power is his Will. Command or not his power is a reflection of what he wants and his power grants that.

Even though I consider most of R2 weaker than season 1 of Code Geass. This has to be my favorite part of the entire series, the tensity and philosophy behind this scene are absolute genius. Lelouch wishes to avenge his mother and take revenge on his father only to learn the horrible truth. Both of his parents idles of "killing god and resting the world" and having "no change, everything will be the same" are completely insane and no matter what "good intentions" they've had, it won't wipe away their sin. And my god the dubbing, I prefer watching anime subbed but watching Code Geass subbed and dubbed was fantastic. Unlike other dubs Code Geass actually feels like it has EMOTION, something so many other dubs lack. And of course don't get me started on how Code Geass's psychology fit easily with the 2016 election. That I think, explains itself.
