Horsens Homestead Farms of Cecil, Wisconsin, made the switch to Lely automation in December of 2019. The Horsens now milk approximately 720 cows with 12 Lely Astronaut A5 robotic milking systems and also have two Lely Juno automatic feed pushers. Since the transition to robotic milking, the Horsens have seen improvements in energy corrected milk, somatic cell count and more. They are excited about the atmosphere in their robot barn, where cows are allowed to do as they please and enjoy optimal comfort with the help of Lely robots.
