Lely Dairy XL - Horsens Homestead Farms Barn Tour

Horsens Homestead Farms of Cecil, Wisconsin, made the switch to Lely automation in December of 2019. The Horsens now milk approximately 720 cows with 12 Lely Astronaut A5 robotic milking systems and also have two Lely Juno automatic feed pushers. Join Ryan Horsens as he takes you on a tour of his family's large dairy!
Since the transition to robotic milking, the Horsens have seen improvements in energy corrected milk, somatic cell count and more. They are excited about the atmosphere in their robot barn, where cows are allowed to do as they please and enjoy optimal comfort with the help of Lely robots.

Nice video. Could you be kind enough to post a "typical" result of your average milk analysis (ball-park is fine, averaged to your farm). Going robotic and keeping the herd inside (or close) is quite a paradigm change for an older dairy farm producer generation - I would like to know your average somatic count, protein, fat ... content and/or any issues (illnesses) you may have had with your herd compared to traditional milking/outdoor summer herd grazing.
