Nice work as always! how long will this stuff done this way last?

If you put oxygen absorbers and vacuum seal them about one year for meat, longer if kept cold or frozen. Veggies last a long time. You get a huge reduction in size and weight, which is super nice. I have plenty of water here to rehydrate the stuff.

I checked Amazon for the price... Not cheap. Would you say it was worth the price? Seems like a nice unit though. Sadly, I have no garage, so I'd be stinking up the house. lol Thanks for the video

It is worth the price if you use it a lot because it is easy to use verses the cheaper models and does a better job because you don't have to rotate the trays as much. It is only really stinky if you do something pungent like Red Beans and Rice, or Dirty Rice, or Chili. Most everything else is pretty mild. Jerky is a pretty mild scent after a couple hours. Doing fruit is not bothersome at all. Thanks for watching.

If you want to borrow it for a couple weeks to see if you want one, let me know.

did you use parchment paper under the hamburger and chili?

I either use that or a silicone mat

How do you clean the racks. Can you put them in the dishwasher
@FernbarkFrist3 жыл бұрын
I just do it in the sink. I can’t remember if they are dishwasher safe.

So once that fettuccine alfredo is dehydrated and say, vacuum sealed. How would you store it?
@FernbarkFrist4 жыл бұрын
You should eat it in a month un-refridgerated, if you freeze it, it will last a long time.

Great review, Have you tried making fruit rolls yet? Been looking to get one of these t dry fruit & other things for the kids lunches. wanted to try making fruit rolls or fruit leather. Take Care.

No I haven't. I should give them a try. I am doing a batch of mangos and peaches right now. Kids like dehydrated fruit. They are extra sweet and chewy. No added sugar though.
