Pro Tip: When your done your round of grinding use a slice of bread to push the remaining meat in the throat of your grinder out the plate, when you see bread coming stop grinder, reload for second or subsequent grind(s) and when bread push out into new pan pick it out and discard!

I just put in some of the ground meat back in. Then remove the attachment and remove the meat that left. That ensures all the meat has been ground.

Can also use crushed ice and run it through the grinder to get remaining meat out

Chill your meat and grinder parts in the freezer for about 45 minutes. You will not heat up the fat that way.

Have you tried poultry bones yet? I just bought tonight. About to grind some chicken feet and chicken leg quarters tomorrow for the dog.

No, I haven't done that and probably won't. I'd be freaking out about it wrecking my grinder. Let me know if you try it how it works.

@@daronspicher ok bud, here we go. This is round 2 of experimental grinds on my LEM BB 8. For RAW diet you want to go leg quarters as the extra bone in the spine levels out to a nice calcium ratio so their not short. Bone cleaver chopped into smaller pieces. Had a few seizes due to too much at once so you have to pace it. Chicken feet are excellent for glucosamine and chondroitin. The foot bones are thick and hard. Chop well and mix back amdnforth with ground beef amdnchopped feet. It'll do it. Leg quarters amdnturkey necks do fine. Just chop it up a bit and let it grind them out. I paid for the 6yr warranty so I'll keep it ripping until the the dawning of times. This makes life so much easier than chopping everything up by hand. I ground 15lbs of puppy meal tonight. Hope this helps.

We are happy with it. We turned 2 pigs into a lot of sausage in 2021. Since we bagged the sausage with the large white tube that comes with the grinder, I bought the stainless 2" straight tube. Since that one doesn't neck down a bit, I know it will be better for filling bags in the future.

I’ve had mine for a year now and it’s not once attacked the dishwasher so I think your dishwasher is safe

Lem's big bite 12 will grind chicken bones. They don't recommend big bite 8 for chicken bones.

@@lgshs5501 When you say "It will grind chicken bones" do you mean it grinds them in a way that the food product out the end is fit for human consumption and the person eating that won't be spitting out splinters of chicken bones, but just happily enjoying the burger?
