I went down the same trail as you: I had the Kitchenaid grinder attachment; it worked ok but I was worried that it might burn up my unit. Here’s a little tip: if you already don’t have a on/off foot switch, swing by Harbor Freight and pick up one from there; they’re less than $15 make sure to get the one that turns on and off and not intermediate. This way you won’t have to turn the knob on the grinder with soiled hands.

I watched your other video and thought... I wonder if he decided to upgrade from the KitchenAid. Sure enough here it is :) I have a tip for you. If you freeze your cubed meat before you grind it, it will acually grind easier. It also keeps the fat from softening and smearing. You don't want to freeze it soild but you want it to be around 31 deg F. It'll be stiff but not frozen solid. It's also easier to double grind and mix the spices when it's partially frozen. You want to re-freeze between grinds if you do them. I had a small Waring Pro MG100 grinder and froze the meat before grinding and it made all the difference in the world. I was hesitant at first since the grinder was kind of cheap and I was afraid it would stress it too much, but it did a great job. Have fun with your new grinder. :)
