Fazem algo para não aparecerem animais voadores que comem milho, tipo pombos? E até outros animais terrestres também, que comam milho.

I have never understood why you place stuff like grain outside in piles, instead of siloes. The waste must be huge.

Because they don’t want to build 30 bins when they could put it in a giant pile and tarp it off. Can’t waste any with a concrete base
@Fractal2279 ай бұрын
@@themonopolyguy4365Plenty of things comes to mind, rats, mice, mold, fungui, flooding etc. If you know any real information why this is done as such please share, but just saying it is on a concrete base and has a tarp does not say much and yes it can still easily perish.

In our area it’s usually used as surge capacity for a particularly high yielding year. Always the first thing they clean out, since it doesn’t keep as well.

Is it a problem wenn it rains? Would this corn not germinate?

Why is grain stored in a pile instead of a bin
@RJ1999x3 жыл бұрын
It's much cheaper in temporary situations
@lukasebel39943 жыл бұрын
@RJ 1999 but there was a big brown clump in that pile. doesn't look like the best option to me, unless its all pig feed
@RJ1999x3 жыл бұрын
@@lukasebel3994 it get thrown to the side, it's not the best option it's the cheapest, and usually done as a quick cheap temporary storage
@dbutters39273 жыл бұрын
@@lukasebel3994 Most of it is cattle feed and ethanol. That big brown clump will just get ground up with the rest of the corn. The bins for that much corn will be a couple million bucks with then there's the dump, the elevator. But it's just not needed for corn that is dry enough and will be processed in a few months.
