I hang around with a male group in my school. in the girl group, I am completely relied on as a ''therapist'' or just an identity that is only there for ''ranting'' to. to the females, that's my only purpose. a therapist. I'm 12, not a professional. The (some) boys understand me and I can be myself around them. we tell each other our problems (not just one person) and we can say whatever we want. my mother hates me hanging around with the boys, but I cannot help it. It's helping my self-esteem a hell of a lot and I've become much more self-confident.

Boys feel sad or depressed all the time, everybody does. you can't just assume people's mental state. my friends tell me their problems and feel weak or not good enough all the time and i comfort them. i'm a guy too and you don't know how many times i've tried to off myself. yeah, don't assume ANYTHING.

They bullied him day in and day on and my brother didn't sya anything to.no one but one day the 30th of March they did it a little to mu h and killed my brother and I was the one to fidn him laying at our old favourite park down by our house when I was 9 I was heart broken and didn't know what to do so I just sat there frozen in the spot having a break down inside but not having any reaction out all I did was stand there like a idiot then I got the blame for his death because I was just standing there. But to all the girls that think boys can't cry or boys can't be weak you are so wrong all men can cry you try being a boy for a day go on I bet you will see that they also get bullied they also can get raped girls get you brain in order boys don't have to be strong or look handsome they can be who and hoe they want to be okay deal with it

A boy in my class cried and some of the girls called him weak and annoying. But when a girl cries its so sad. I told them to never say that to anyone crying because they're going through a lot (assumingly) and they stoppped but still. Theres this mentality that boys are strong and girls are weak.

It’s actually great that you made this. Some people have this belief that girls are the only ones allowed to cry and show heavy emotion. And that makes them weak in some peoples eyes. Yes, girls are genetically more emotional then men. But that doesn’t mean men aren’t allowed to cry. Holding it in and letting it out through anger is toxic. Being able to let it go is the most humble thing you can do for yourself. I’m probably over thinking this but that’s my opinion, thank you for coming to my TEDtalk!

This reminds me of a conversation I had with my (boy) best friend. I basically said how it was unfair that boys aren't allowed to cry, and how it was fair for girls to just let go of their emotions at any time. I told him that it's "toxic masculinity" (the people who teach boys not to cry, and the people who reinforce that practice). He told me no, the people who teach boys not to cry aren't toxic (like parents/siblings), their just trying to protect them from the world. We ended up on an agreement that yes it isn't fair, but their isn't much that we can do to stop it. The "practice/rule" was there since forever basically, and there's just no undoing the hurt its done. If your hurt in anyway by these unfair society "rules", please remember that you are of course not alone, and you can get through this.
@kaia582 жыл бұрын
It's okay to cry. No matter if you're a girl or a boy. Always remember that. In my brother's class, there is a boy that cries over everything. He cried over his bike not being stolen, because he wanted a new one. He even cried when the music was too loud. The boy I'm talking about was 9 then, I think. Now he's 10. I'm a girl by the way. Just saying cause many people in youtube thought I'm a boy because of my name. Anyway, have a great day!🤗
@exotic_aqua57652 жыл бұрын
I mean- yes girls are allowed to show emotion and boys aren't, and it's completely unfair and wrong but the parents and siblings are usually the ones to blame. See, I'm a girl and I haven't let anyone see me cry in about 4 years. Which considering my age is a lot (13) What I've seen is that boys who don't cry turn out to be complete jerks, it's the only way they can let their emotion show. So any boys reading this comment, I can cry and you can too. The world is an unfair place but don't let it get to you. What will the society say? TO HELL WITH WHAT SOCIETY SAYS
@kaia582 жыл бұрын
@@exotic_aqua5765 Most boys actually are allowed to cry. It was a long time ago when they weren't. Some boys still aren't allowed to cry though, sadly. In my school, there's a boy who literally crys over everything. He's my brother's friend and he has even cried over the music being too loud.
