Never really liked smith or rock for that matter. To me, that slap is unforgivable. never liked those bad boys movies. I saw a bit of one where they were protecting a yt female which was sickening! Never bothered with that franchise since!

As someone who grew up under a reign of violence and abuse, regardless of anyone's background, color, religion, etc., they are always tainted to me once they exhibit that behavior. It's rare that I can get past that.

Me too. Me too. It’s. It’s not casual to me, never has been. Especially as someone who knows what it feels Iike to be hit like that.

Speak for yourself, Cheska. It's downhill for a society if they excuse casual violence at an awards ceremony no less. And I'm black too.

sure, we shouldn't excuse or normalize casual violence for interpersonal disputes. we SHOULD however normalize people that make mistakes being welcomed back into community. That slap was over 2 years ago now, and he's apologized. They even made sure we see HIM get slapped 50-11 times in his first major film release since it happened. What more does he owe us? Or should he be forever ostracized?
