Went to Melbourne in late November 84, I was a 18 year old Scottish punk, mohawk, the lot, came how with some Perdition sounds, still listen to them now, also saw PIL on the same holiday, remember going to a couple of clubs in St Kilda, all the links we're years behind us, however I was made really welcome, good times

Melbourne was a a great city for punk Rock back in the early 80's. I hitched and squatted in Melbourne a few times. Sydney on the other hand was quite violent.

The first Aussie hardcore band that i heard was CIVIL DISSIDENT, PERDITION is the second one. But i love THE SAINTS, NICK CAVE, BEASTS OF BOURBON,ROSE TATTOO, even INXS.AUSTRALIA ROCKS IN THE RIGHT WAY
