Lemon Squash Surprise - Ep

Wow, very prolific plants! Are they fairly resistant to vine borers?

I don't think so. I have a couple plants that only have only a couple of squash because of the vine borers, and have had to trim off a lot of dead.

Is there anything to do with them besides making a drink? I notice no one here on youtube sees to fry or bake them, it looks to be all about making a drink.

Hi there. These are lemon squash which are similar to zucchini. They are to be eaten not used for drinks. They don't have any lemon taste at all. So cook them up just like you do any other squash and they are tasty.

Lemon squash is also a concentrated drink popular in the UK. 1 cup or so of squash (can be lemon, orange, pineapple, mango, etc flavored) is diluted in about a quart of water.

Why order seeds save your own

Saving seeds is great!, as long as they are not hybrid seeds. Otherwise they will cross with something and form an anomaly.
