Wonderful video. My father was born in 1928. He loved camping from a very young age. He also began hunting with my grandfather when he was about 9 yrs old. They had to hunt to put food on the table. The great depression left them broke and starving. Game was scarce. Days of camping and hunting, fishing and gathering was a BIG part of their lives. I have a few of the old items they used on those trips, including a cool old Coleman lantern. I think it runs on regular gasoline? I found it when i had to clean out my parents home in 2019. I love these old stoves and have three from around 1964. Also found them while cleaning out my parents house. I absolutely love these old Coleman stoves and lanterns.

Great to see you back. That was a nice rebuild of a classic old camp/backpack stove. Mental health is very important especially with kids. Take care and forge ahead.

You are back! I had thought about you recently, about some project or other you did easy back when... Kids are fun. And crazy. Mine enjoy shop time with me. And they start asking about projects. The attention span is ... improving. Good luck with your health and your new hobby!

Great to see you back! Back during all the lockdowns I started messing with the Optimus 8R campsite stoves again. Lovely things, very rewarding to get it fully functional again. Got some core memories of my dad trying out the old stove (without proper maintenance prior) resulting in a 6ft flame and all of his arm hair burned off 😂🤣 FYI: I got it in better working conditions, mind you 😉

Hello, which one is suitable for this type of gasoline stove No. 92 or 95?
@Lemongrasspicker6 ай бұрын
I personally use 87 octane fuel or white gas if you can get it. Both work just fine

I love gas stoves! This one looks really nice, compact size too. How much can the container hold? About the language and words - dont worry about it, you are one of the better formulated guys I have heard. And that comes from a guy that also can have a hard time finding the right words, but that only means - we care, and that makes us try and formulate sentences best way possible. I think alot of people just don't care the right word for certain thingies or whatever it could be. :)

I think the tank can hold about or just under 1 pint of fuel. I appreciate the kind words as well.

Want to know why my colman single burner stove won't light it got rained on and now is like spiting fuel out on out side of the silver part the goes to inside of stove
@Lemongrasspicker9 ай бұрын
If it's spitting fuel out of the bunsen then it's likely overfilled with fuel. Drain it all out then add a tiny bit back and see if it lights. If not it might be worth taking it apart and cleaning it.
