Any boot that you literally take out of the box and go hiking in will have an issue, guaranteed. I have these boots and it took me a good week of regular wear to break them in, just like any boot. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone looking to try a minimalist boot. Mine feel like slippers now. They are very comfortable and good quality. The first couple of days wasn’t comfortable, so don’t go on a long hike in them expecting them to feel awesome.

I had the same experience with the tops of the boots around my ankle. I wore them laced to the ankle and unlaced the rest of the way until the boots were broken in ( I wrapped the excess lace around my ankle and tied). Now, I can lace them all the way without discomfort.

this it good to hear. I got mine a few days ago and upon wearing them for the first day I noticed the footbed was quite comfortable, but the back of my legs were very sore (and that was with the 2 top laces left undone). I'm hoping it will get better or I'm out $150.

I love the look of these boots. I love my work boots, but need casual boots and these look perfect. The color is exactly what I'm looking for.
