Shan Shan It made me cry every time she looked away. I didn’t realize that she has to hide her blackness when she left for Hollywood and on top of that, she never thought she was an amazing singer. When in fact, she had a beautiful voice.

She also survived a tremendous amount of adversity due to predatory Hollywood studio heads and buffoons whom Alicia wouldn't mind keeping company. No similarities or resemblance.
