Lena Yokoyama è nata in Giappone, Anastasiya Petryshak in Ucraina. La comune passione per il violino le ha portate a Cremona, dove hanno studiato all'Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali "Claudio Monteverdi" ed ora sono allieve di Salvatore Accardo ai Corsi di Alto Perfezionamento dell'Accademia "Walter Stauffer". La matinée conclusiva di Stradivarifestival è un omaggio a Charles-Auguste de Bériot. Maestro di Henri Vieuxtemps e famoso per aver sposato la cantante lirica Maria Malibran, dé Beriot ha lasciato una produzione principalmente rivolta a brani per violino. Nei Duetti una forte vena romantica trova declinazione in un melodismo lirico dove l'alternanza tra i due esecutori, non priva di spunti virtuosistici, è un dialogo garbato e dotto, proprio come avveniva nei salotti eleganti dell'Ottocento.

A teacher of Henri Vieuxtemps and primarily famous for having married the opera singer Maria Malibran, dé Beriot has left a body of work based mostly around pieces for the violin. In the Duos, a strong romantic vein finds expression in a lyrical melodism where the alternation between the two performers, with plenty of virtuoso cues, represents a gracious and erudite dialog, just as in the elegant drawing rooms of the 19th century.
