Hello Lena, I enjoy your podcasts. One litle detail that you should know. At the end of WW II there was a German chemical company called AG Farben. It was so enormous that the allies decided that it should be broken up. It became Hoescht, Bayer and BASF. The last company is pronounced by its letters - Bee A Ess Eff. By the way the 4 biggest chemical companies in the world is/was Hoescht Bayer, BASF and Dupont. More useless trivia - AG Farben had a few executives hung at the end of the war because oof some gas production that A.H. liked. This was noted when I worked for Hoescht because our warehouse manager was Jewish.

Never used a credit card for a purchase or to pay for a service, I only used a credit card to book a hotel or reserve a car rental. When debit cards became avaliable I never used a credit card again. Today I find it far cheaper to shop on line than go to a mall or big box store so I shop with a debit card. Always paid cash, built my own home and always bought used cars. Today at 78 retired a ton of money in the bank and retired in Thailand with my wife and son.
@crosslink14935 минут бұрын
I'd recommend you pay with a credit card and only charge each month what you can pay off in full. You can dispute false charges on credit cards, but almost never on a debit card if someone steals your account info. If someone steals your debit card and steals money from your account its almost always gone for good. Use you debit card only as an ATM card and only at your bank's branches if at all possible. Pay cash for all smaller purchases and keep track of what you spend it on.
