Hi, its been a while! I didn't intend on taking such a long break. I wanted some time to take for myself. It seems like my time is very limited these days and will be for years to come.

psychology is the foundation of marketing. you can't be a successful marketer without understanding people's behaviors and what motivates people. Im a designer and love reading psychology stuff as a hobby...and it has helped me tremendously in understanding my audience better.

A lot of workplaces look at your level of education, and to see that you have a bachelors degree in Psychology might’ve persuaded them to hire you even though it’s not bachelors in commerce/marketing. If they see a person who hasn’t attended college or got a degree then they favour the other person that has a degree.

I haven't been getting notifications for your videos, so I'm going to binge watch everything you posted over the last few months! I totally agree with what you said about college. It may be a bit more easier to get a job in the field that you have a degree in, but you're right that it's not impossible to get a job without a degree or in a different field. I immediately went into college right after HS, and I do wish I was able to take a gap year or anything to reset and think about what do I really want to do with my life. I'm late, but it's not about the degree. A degree shows employers you have potential should they hire you (think of having a degree as having a form of credibility). The rest is up to you on how much you want to succeed in a job/career. My older brother has a Counseling Psychology degree but he's a mortgage loan officer and he's doing great. Unlike me, I don't have a degree but the work I do makes more than my older brother believe it or not. But it's not about the money, it's how you find success either with or without a degree as an adult. Hope Basco is doing well.

Yeah degrees/college is what you make of it. Most of coworkers are also from all over the place from econ to psych. I used to be in tech snd moved onto marketing and like it much more. Gl in learning python! A good start imo. Despite what any elitist will say.

I'm majoring in marketing, and psychology is huge part of it! So yeah it make sense. But you are in digital marketing which is available for anyone. But for more marketing focused roles like Brand Manager, you need marketing degree specifically.

So funny! I discovered your channel at the right time. When I was 18, I got into marketing the same way. I had a e-commerce brand where I sold swimwear that I made myself and it eventually landed me a position as a social media manager. I'm going back to school to say "hey I have a degree" but I'm not even sure if I will be using it.

Better to have it than not honestly, if you're going up with people that have them, they'll be more likely to get picked over you. It can be hard to work your way up without a degree, even though it doesn't really mean much, the paper helps
