What you have done is breathtaking....this is art! Why didn't you take a close-up shot so that the details, which are many, come to the fore. Everything you did is a great idea for others. The turntable base itself is excellent, but your improvements to the bearing have taken everything to a higher level. I use an oil bath in a sealed bronze housing and a single ball resting on a hardened and cemented plate. The oil I use is Drosera MS and it dampens the rumble very well. I make the case from blažujka (Croatian name for Water Boiled Proof - marine plywood). Excellent project...I assume that the dusting was done by electrostatics and later fired at a high temperature....Gemma process? CAA?.....All praise!!!!

Thanks Mario. Have a look at my other projects (in the other videos). This Lenco was for a customer. The plinth is larger as the owner may want to upgrade to my 12” tonearm. Marine plywood is good. The powder coating was done at the factory (not my work). Powder coating is tough and long lasting. It may have a damping effect on the chassis (top plate).

@@sph7674 I know that the electrostatic application of plastic powder is an industrial process, because I worked on the maintenance of the Gemma machine. In my company, gas bottles were "painted" with this process. I know it dampens vibrations...so they don't say for no reason that a "dead" record player is the best record player. Subscription added!
