Call me dirty, too, Sis! 😂😂😂 I started gaining INCHES from shampooing less! I was doing these weekly challenges and wasn't getting anywhere! I accidently discovered growth by not having the time to wash weekly!😂😂😂 Thank you for your consistency on KZbin. I appreciate your genuine spirit and very helpful advice. ❤

Thank you for sharing. I'm older and like boring hairstyles🙂. I still wash weekly and just put my hair back in tucked chunky twists. I re-moisturize between washes 2 times a week. I have found my staple products. I still experiment, but always come back to the same products. Thanks for addressing protein sensitivity. I cringe when that phrase is used. I have pushed my wash to 2 weeks without any issues. Detangling hasn't been an issue since I have been following your advice. My hair is still moisturized on wash day so detangling is easy.

I’ve learnt a lot from your hair journey and honestly I am able to retain length as a result. One thing I learnt that has helped is, less is better. Leaving the hair alone, washing less, using only what my hair needs…simplicity has helped.

I to love my hair. I was going through the “ I don’t know what to do with my hair” stage, but I decided that whatever my hair is going through I love. She has her own personality and she’s stubborn so I just follow her lead. Ms. Seeny, I call her, she’s old and set in her ways. Ty for your videos. If you ever make a product, I will be first in line cause your method has my hair moisturized for 2 weeks. I was moisturizing every 2 days. Ty❤❤❤❤

Thanks so much, Beautiful Sister! You make so much sense. My problem is that my scalp dries so fast, but when I take my braids out, they are moisturized (oil). So I am trying to find the right moisture for my scalp. I don't yet know what my sebum feels like. I am trying to "tune in" to my hair so I can learn it. Your hair is so beautiful, as are you. I appreciate your common sense "learn your own hair" approach. It is the only correct way because we ALL have different hair, even if we have 4C hair, which I have. I am trying to find the correct protein for my hair. I am loving your channel. Thanks again.
@CoilyDiaries11 ай бұрын
Hi beautiful 😍 So I use water glycerin, jojoba or olive oil and essential oils on my scalp weekly. Video coming soon. About sebum, you can check your own level easily. One day after your wash day, gently scratch your scalp a day after then on day 7 after wash, then day 14, day 21 etc. the day you see sebum in your nail, take note of that. If it takes only 7 day or less to see sebum you have high sebum levels , 14-21 days,medium. Beyond that you have low sebum. Do the test without putting anything on your scalp 🌺

Currently experiencing a setup, I was the primary caregiver for my mother while she was going through chemo, and just say I was less than careful when caring for her. The resulting thinning and hair loss I know is attributable to my indiscretions as she was my only priority. Thank you for you consistency and insight, it came to me at the right time on my journey. Now this manipulation for 3 months challenge, my hair has grown about 1 inch in 1 month, I am going to have to redo my cornrows and make them smaller and leave them for 2 months. I am really really trying not to touch it but my hair is overachieving, rosemary, castor oil and glycerin are the truth.

Great tips. The back half of my hair is now at waist length. Definitely not the length to be playing around with. I now wash my hair 1 to 2 times a month, depending on the season. My go-to styles are medium flat twists for the warmer months and silk press for the colder months. I do wet detangling with the kazmaleje wet brush when deep conditioning, then after blow drying, I do dry detangling with my tangle teezer. Girl, I don't care what people say. 😂 I'm washing my hair when it suits me best. Washing my hair 3 to 4 times a week at a time is good enough for me. Plus I'm saving money on buying products.
@CoilyDiaries11 ай бұрын
love kazmaleje tools! live to hear confirmation of some of the things am discussing in the video! how do you maintain your scalp for a month?
@justbeuneik11 ай бұрын
@CoilyDiaries During the warmer months, I spray rose water on my scalp to lessen the sebum on my scalp each week. I wash my hair every 3 weeks during the warmer months. For the colder months I go 4 weeks without washing my hair. My scalp gets dryer in the winter time so I add a bit of oil to my scalp each week as I wear my hair straight. I also add a bit of oil and shea butter to my straight hair to reduce the frizz from the cold.

I have been using glycerin for a while and it definitely moisturizes my hair. I do love it. But, my hair is like a shag/mullet - short on the sides (above the breast) and longer in the back (above bra strap). I've been natural for 9 years!! It's fine, weak-sauce, even with protein treatments and leave-ins and henna/cassia. I'm about to start all over (again) cuz I'm just DONE.

Wonderful video and tips. The only thing that I do differently is wash my hair weekly. I’ve tried to last longer, but my scalp will just not cooperate. 😂. Plus, I really looooove wash day and caring for my hair. It’s one of my hobbies, if that makes sense. I have worked over time to know MY hair and its likes and dislikes. I’ve learned to reject the things that the community says I should do that my hair does not respond well to. What do you think about dry dangling with oil?

@@CoilyDiariesmy scalp is sooo sensitive, if I put a drop of anything on it, it acts up. My hair seems to be fine with weekly washing. I am a fitness instructor. My head sweats a lot. The sweat dries my hair out and doesn’t make it smell so well. I really can’t see any other way. I only detangle once a week and I am gentle. As long as I stay consistent with my routine, I’m ok.

@IndigooceanOrg11 ай бұрын
I think I'm similar. My scalp wants to be washed before my hair does. I'm thinking about extending my nightly face routine to my scalp skin as well, at least the moisturizing parts. (Centella, snail mucin, SOD spritz, and Vit C serum, maybe followed by some oil, which on my face would be a moisturizing cream.) At least when I don't use any heat at wash day, so don't have to worry about reverting, this is probably what I've been ignoring because I don't see others talking about it.

Would you ever consider creating a moisturising leave-in based on your glycerin/water mix? Dry detangling only works for me if my hair is really stretched out, otherwise I'm just fighting the coils, so I'm sticking with wet detangling for now. Long hair can NEVER be boring!🎉
@CoilyDiaries11 ай бұрын
