I'm from Naga City and people from Naga, Camarines Sur and even the whole Bicol Region sees the Geronas and Robredos in a very different light compared to other parts of the Philippines. They are not your typical politicians that's why "typical" politicians and "typical" voters hate them (yes, even some Bicolano Voters too.). Leni and the late Jesse Robredo accepts everybody regardless of political colors even if they come in a (fake or genuine) pretext of religious or personal visits. Some see it as weakness, but some see it strength depending on who you are as a voter. If I can see Sara Duterte's visit with her as a political maneouvre, you think a lawyer like Leni didn't? But then again, Leni is NOT YOUR TYPICAL POLITICIAN. I agree, that she should release a formal statement for the sake of those who (still) hope that UNTYPICAL POLITICIANS like her can and will hold office in Malacañang. The pessimist in me doubt it. But the optimist in me, still see it.

The sad thing with leni is that ang tagal na niya sa politika pero parang she’s naive when it comes to political maneuverings by the likes of sara. Sa ginawa niyang pagpapaunlak kay sara she was just cornered by sara at nagawa ni sara whatever the hell it was she planned to do. In short nagamit si Leni.
