When I was in 8th grade, I had a young English teacher who worked with our class for a year. Aside from English, we were taught Russian and Kazakh as official languages. English was the third language, and students were mainly less proficient in it, since focus remained on the first two. Alua, my teacher of English, saw my interest and potential in learning this language, and took on giving me extra material for practices and workbooks to improve my grammar. I loved learning English and had no problems with reading books, listening to songs in English and practicing it in general. On one of our first extra classes she suggested me listening to this song and marking new words for myself. I was not really into such genre, but the song was catchy and I quickly remembered all of the adjectives and animal names from this song. Now I am a freshman at my university, studying Economics in English and using it every single day, relying on what she taught me back then. I'm not sure if she will see this, but thank you very much, Alua Bakhytovna!

Damn, all my life i've never actually understood this song. this song is genius…the song encapsulates the growth of a breakdown, for me. she gives endless examples and descriptions of things she wants to be all at once, but as it goes on, the descriptions become more unhinged and the production picks up more of a weird tone and becomes a little harsher. the “all I wanna be/ is everything at once” here is pressure and self-hate for me, and the way is becomes more dense and strange as it goes on resembles a breakdown. really clever, and how the descriptions are so childish and the melody is like a lullaby, like ‘Mary had a little lamb’ or something to that degree, and it’s supposed to be child-like to me because of how afterward i sort of bully and belittle the breakdown and treat that breakdown as a childish action.
