The first time I saw this video I knew he'd bolt GN'R. Once Slash started working with Michael Jackson and Lenny Kravitz he became a in-demand session musician. Which probably made Axl into a raving lunatic.

you obviously aren’t very familiar with Slash’ writing style or the way he gets around on a guitar at ALL - this riff screams nothing but Slash, and I knew this song was all him by first listen - as it turns out , this song was written by Slash for gnr but Popcorn Adler was too fucked up on Hair-on and Speedballs to play it on drums, so Slash brought it over to Lenny and a masterpiece was born 🤙🏽 And I knew this was a Slash song way before learning that little tid-bit of information.

Wow! This song sounds more like a '70s rock song than a '90s rock song. It's all coming back to me now. Back in 1991, '70s nostalgia came in. People were looking back at the '70s during this year. Now, almost 21 years later, we're looking back at the '90s and hoping this decade will catch on. We're still expecting some changes this year.

I am amazed, Lenny Kravitz is such a talented musician and an amazing composer. All his albums have a high quality mark, regardless of the style of music in which the album is recorded . The song is a bomb, very emotional. Slash and Lenny are like two brothers , a great duo.. It's been so many years, but it's still a fucking hit ! Why is there some guy playing drums here, where is his unforgettable drummer girl? Well, in the end, a wonderful ending, Slash emotionally kicks the sound speakers . Yes, I just love it when musicians hit and kick their equipment.

Wow!

I love the attitude with which Lenny sings this song...it sells the song... Check his attitude when he sings "my mama said it's good to be fruitful but my mama said don't take more than a mouthful" ..Up...Up . along with the great musical composition.... Lots of funk... Lots of attitude.. .. I think this is the song with the most attitude, funk and personality he has done.

Its really a testament to how great music was in the 90’s in that although I owned multiple Lenny Kravits Albums he was awash in so many other musicians! We just had so much good music to choose from it’s easy to forget how original and talented he was. Today I don’t find one artist that even remotely moves me like the music of the 90’s! Or maybe i’ve just become the old guy! Haha!

@@IronMaid3n That's a good question. I really don't know. What I'd like to know is how that bass was recorded. Is it a Fender P bass straight into the console? Is it a Jazz bass on the bridge pickup into an Ampeg B-15 with an Electro-Voice RE-20 on the cab or some combination of cab mic and DI? I'd love to find out more about how they got that bass tone on the record.
