Shame they did not get a semi-happy ending though. The lesbian sisters got their new start. Meanwhile Hector is like: "Well living a nice quiet life with Lenore is not going to happen, I guess I'm just going to have to fall back on living in a remote far away hut with reanimated pets then..." Heck even Dracula and Lisa got a happy ending.

I guess it's an ending that kinda fits him. Striga and Morana just wanted to live confortably and together, not conquer the whole world. Dracula was just a slave of his own hatred. Hector... I guess his life of being alone is as a kind of redemption for his past mistakes. I expect to see him work with Isaac to create a working and successful society/country
@jefthereaper
@jefthereaper 3 жыл бұрын
@@filipesaul8435 Making mistakes should not mean he has no right to a happy ending (just look at Isaac, I mean he slaughtered 99% of the people on his journy before he had his ephipany.) Let alone, turning on Dracula was hardly a mistake, he was going to kill all human life.
@wowman542
@wowman542 3 жыл бұрын
This is just me but I think there's an unspoken potential in Hector's ending, yes he didn't get to stay with the girl he loved but he's now free from all types of influence that would take advantage of him. He's grown in working with others to bring back Dracula, maybe he'll do the same in forging new connections with other forgemasters around the world. His ending is not inherently happy but is one where he's now taken control of where it goes from there. Beyond his admiration for Dracula or his childish want for pets, he retains the capacity to reinvent himself like Isaac did and I see no reason to assume he'll simply go back to the way he did things before season 3. We don't see him ride off into the sunset happy but I am glad we get to see his arc end the way he wanted it to, free from Carmilla and where he's atoned for his betrayal of Dracula.

from every death there is a meaning. its are job as the living to find or forget what is was or suppose to be. To find the cages or to brake them. to build walls to protect the ones you love your to trap those you hate. life is meaningless with out an end. and so like a lotus of the moon she faded away with all her beauty and splendor. with the one she loved longing to hold her but knowing that this was the end.

That solo music box melody plays a very significant part in this song, by telling us just how insignificant our lives are and yet should be so precious to us that we as humans shouldn't throw them away so recklessly at the bidding of others. At least that's what I hear when it's melody plays.

I think her death itself was handled really well, like I would change nothing about this scene itself, I just also do agree with most people that Hector's and Lenore's relationship could have been developed a bit more. I think it's obvious that Hector is a very naive person, so him loving Lenore still makes sense to me, I just think if we got to see more shades of Lenore showing genuine love for Hector it would have caused her death to be an even bigger emotional punch, though for me, nothing in this show could reach the levels of heartwrench that Dracula's death had

Sad. I think the writers should have had Lenore live and someone get out of this with a future with Hector. Also off subject but I think Lenore was born a vampire. She wanted to see to what was so special about the sun.A hint she never seen the sun. Remember when Carmilla kicked godbrand down the steps and she talked when she got turned into a vampire? Anyone else else catch that detail?

Top 5 anime in my opinion- if not top 3. The animation, the Voice Actors, the storyline, the characters, the action, the ending. Everything was done flawlessly. It's sad that shows like Dragon Ball get multiple episodes, series, spin-offs, etc... while shows like this one- a clear passion project, are cut short. The best we can do is be happy about how good it is and hope for the best with the new spin-off.

I can't believe her sisters abandoned her like this. They knew Carmilla died because of the bond that connect the FOUR of them; so why the fuck did they leave presuming of Lenore's death when they can litterally KNOW that she is NOT dead. yeah yeah, it's the final season and bla bla bla, but ohmygod she didn't deserve that. Many character have been kind of...abandoned in this final, like if they just wanted to end this quicker than it was suppose to end. Too many storylines are clearly shorter than they deserve...and, personnaly, this is for Lenore that I regret the most T_T If only we could have some prequel material about the council of sisters :(

It feels that it ended quicker than it was supposed to because that's exactly what happened. The show was meant to have a 5th season, but season 4 and 5 got redimensioned into a single one. Sadly.

The director did an wrong decision to let her die like this ... He had the option that hector and lenora fell truly in love , let her killed later by Isaac to make the events from Castlevania Curse of darkness happen (even we all know that is not the same woman) bc this Anime isn’t quite acurate but very good story telling for those who didn’t know the games at all. Season 4 is so rushed and ... yea pretty Bad compared to 1-3 🤷🏻‍♂️

I disagree. All the male villains get to live and have a 2nd chance. Heck, even Dracula was revived! All the female villains got was death and no second chances. Lenore's suicide was pointless. She was out of character this season. Season 4 was terribly written. I'm happy that Ellis has been booted off the project.

Their relationship needed an extra season to be fleshed out. It went straight from "you're my slave now" to witty flirting. I think one more arc where the balance of power is levelled but they stay together would have made this ending even more profound.
@ShardofManus
@ShardofManus 3 жыл бұрын
It was intended, but unfortunately the relationship with Netflix was soured and so two seasons had to be shortened into one. S4 was supposed to last up until Carmilla's death, and then S5 would've been the remainder of the plot.

@@ShardofManus Damn, of course it would be ruined by politics again. I would have loved another season. And expecially a better ending for these two, considering pretty much everyone got a good ending. The main cast, Isaac, Striga, Morana. Heck even Dracula and Lisa got their happy ending. But the ones I wanted to see together the most of course get a downer ending.

@@jefthereaper it's so sad because they could have literally made an entire season for all the endings. This was easily the most interesting duo of chars for me in the story. Agreed. Kinda feels like the storytellers wanted absolutely nothing to do with Hector after season 2. So much build up and for nothing. His scheming during captivity. His acceptance of being enslaved, and actually falling for Lenore after her betrayal/manipulation. She literally called him her pet. I was pissed that Hector didn't seek vengeance for himself.

@@SeraphimDragon "I was pissed that Hector didn't seek vengeance for himself." On some levels, I'm not fully convinced he didn't. Watch their conversation right before her suicide. She has just lost everything, her entire world crashing down on her head. Everyone she had ever known dead or gone, her kingdom gone, the diplomacy she had wrapped up so much of her self worth and identity is gone, the sisters with whom she had ruled and lived with and relied upon for two centuries are dead or 'missing' *(all of this Hector contributed to, remember), her craved security and safety stripped away, and Lenore is absolutely at the lowest point she has ever been. She's clearly depressed, lost, and spiraling into an existential crisis. The girl is absolutely crushed. All that is left is Hector. It is in this context, when she is attempting to talk things through with him, that he flat out calls her a parasite to her face. See her reaction to that, the widened eyes, as if he had just staked her heart. It is this moment that Hector actually kills Lenore. She suddenly determines in that very moment to end it all. She might have walked outside under her own power, but it was absolutely Hector's callous and flippant words that push her to the decision. Add to all this the fact that in this setting, 'forgemaster' Hector should know better than anyone that her death wouldn't actually be the peaceful or restful end she hoped to achieve, rather she's only about to walk herself into a different, more horrific cage, consigning herself eternally to hell and whatever horrors rule there. Trapped, with far less hope of escape than her current circumstance - he knows better than anyone save maybe Isaac that she would certainly not get the peace she hoped for - and even so, he just stands there passively and lets her do it without so much as a word. No lifeline thrown when she clearly and desperately needed help and, given all the recent grief and loss, could not possibly be in a fit frame of mind to be making this kind of irrevocable decision. Offers only the barest of sympathies or sign of 'friendship.' Sitting passively, letting her seal her own final fate as she walks out, a few seconds of peace and happiness, only to awaken afterwards in the cage of hell for all eternity. Dude was probably meant to just be too broken and pathetically clueless and passive as always to offer her an alternative, but even so, he could not have enacted a more coldly calculated and thoroughly complete revenge upon Lenore for what she and her sisters had done to him had he spent 10 years scheming and planning it. So messed up.
