It worked for me! I have a G70 and you gotta be careful because there are more screws to unscrew. Make sure they are all removed before the removal of the keyboard

I have already purchased the black replacement socket. should I have bought a yellow socket? Is the new yellow socket better?
@ydoomenaud5 жыл бұрын
How did you determine the problem was the power socket instead of a dead motherboard? I've inherited a G51-35 (almost identical to the G50-70) which will not turn on from two separate power supplies (both testing correctly on a voltmeter), one battery that may be dead and the Novo button does nothing. The service manual seems to think the motherboard and screen have to be removed before the power socket/cable but your video shows this isn't necessary. I'd like to know this is a wiring problem before tearing down the case and rebuilding/replacing a cable only to find out the motherboard is dead.

cheers found mine had a broken wire. it has bieng tossed around too much i gues. some bolts were missing before it broke down. does anyone happen to know the size of the bolts not indicated as m2x6. there the slightly larger ones you remove at first

Should the new Power Jack look exactly the same as the manufacturer one? My original Power Jack has prongs but the new one does not and the laptop will not power on.

your instructions were very helpful but when I turned my computer on, several of the keys on the keyboard no longer worked. I tried taking out the keyboard ribbon cable and putting it back in more securely but it didn't help. Do you have an idea of what the issue could be?
