Hi, thanks for the tutorial, I actually have the exact same laptop, same spec even. I want to ask if it is necessary to replace the thermal pad? Won't the original pad allign with the M.2 anway? (I'm not upgrading my ssd btw, just wifi card)

Is this a full power dgpu?, The laptop looks a little thin so I’m guessing to save money they lowered the power on it.

I have the Lenovo Slim 7 ProX 14ARH7 82V20003US. This looks super identical to the one on the video. Would I be able to do the same swap?

Can you show performance between new wifi card and original?

With my wifi 6 fritzbox router speeds went from 60mbps to full 100mbps. I also pay for 100mbps, so maximum pretty much maximum speed possible. I always change these realtek cards to intel ax cards, to avoid slow speed and other problems.

@@techthinkable4610 after you boot the laptop back up, does the battery automatically re-enable? And does the new Wi-Fi card automatically work?
@techthinkable46102 жыл бұрын
@@Pezy_4584 if you connect the power adapter again, the battery enables again and the device can boot up. And most of the time the new Wifi Card is working directly, some times you have to download the latest driver from intel again, while connected to ethernet.

Give it a year and the Realtek card will slowly start to fail, the Bluetooth failed first on mine then the WiFi started to get weak and intermittant (enough to make me think my router was failing). I then realised the reason why RealTek are so popular with manufacturers is that they're cheap.

@@davidquirk8097 Yup same with mine. Bluetooth no longer works on mine and wifi randomly stutters. I'm upgrading mine to the intel wifi card ax210 which is much more reliable.

Do you backup your SSD first before replacing it?

Will removing the device like that void the warranty?
@minbcraft Жыл бұрын
Not sure, but I think it's probably a good idea to put all the original hardware back in before sending the laptop in for warranty.
