Excellent video Rick, very informative. Where do you obtain your screens from. I'm in the uk, bought one from amazon but touchscreen didn’t work, and the small pcb that the digitiser cable plugs into topped out at 124 degrees C so was dangerous in my opinion.

I got mine from a local seller here in Oz weird how the pcb was basically cooking 0_0

Hi! I'm from Burma. I had my laptop Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 i3 11th gen A cover repair. The touch screen itself was not damaged, but it was loose from the back frame and the service shop here told me that I can change the back frame what they call "A cover" and I agree and had it replaced. Now all is intact, the touch screen is ok. No loose. But after repair, the screen had multiple screen bleeding and it's really annoying me. How can I fix the screen bleeding? I searched on google and youtube but no satisfying results. Any advices and I'll be really grateful.

screen bleeding, if it was done at a repair shop, i would be taking it back and discussing it i would be thinking possible damage to the original display

Instructions on how to do this are not necessary. When replacing the matrix, you must first unfasten the battery so that the new matrix does not burn out when connecting

So in this case you just replaced the LCD and didn't have to replace the digitizer?

Generic Google instructions tell me to disconnect the battery first. But your video /others for this specific laptop don't seem to do that. Is that a step i can skip for this?

as someone who has done over 500+ screen repairs, I do but a one off screen repair I would suggest disconnecting it

what about replacing the lcd back cover Does it need to disconnect battery 🔋 ?

I have the flex 5 14are05, theres a crack in the upper right corner, and touch no longer works while stylus input works, the screen replacements I find on amazon say they don't support stylus, is that relevant? Is the stylus digitizer on the screen?

stylus support is related to the lcd panel. most won't support it, unless they do list it as supporting it

My LCD isn’t coming out this easily. 😢 something is still holding it in at the top of the screen and I’m too afraid I’m going to break it. I don’t need to replace the LCD, I need to replace the casing it sits in.

Lift it up from the bottom a bit and then slide it downwards. Make sure you remove the screws and glue pull-tabs first.
