I followed your video and was able to fix my S340 !! It wasn't the buck converter but a simple passive part connect to the buck converter !

Got the same exact problem. Chip exploded well. Ive ordered from china and will try rebuild to original but will fall back on your trick method if i have to. Thanks.

Damn. Short on 3v rail was traced back to cpu short with thermal camera. Always unlucky. Motherboards are crazy expensive. In the bin it goes.

Unfortunately, you are right! It's very expensive for repair. I always try not to cry in case of 3v short

Hello! The temperature is not always a sign of fault, you must check what is that chip serving on the board and after that the reason that is getting hot, maybe a short in a rail is causing the chip to "work" harder and it is getting hot!

I was playing a game with the charger plugged in when all of a sudden my screen goes black and I hear a "tch" after that I notice the light that indicates the laptop it's charging no longer turns on, try pressing power button to see if it works but nothing then I press the boot button that lenovo laptops have at one side and also nothing, today I bought tools to open the pc and disconnected the battery and yet nothing, dont know what to do now

Hello, yeah the electronics, die often that way. Obviously something is burned, it could be something simple as a mosfet,or something more difficult to find and replace. In my opinion you need the help of a professional...!

@@AnyrepairENG so something's burned I see, I got no car and don't know any professionals who I could ask to lend me a hand so I'll have to try doing my own research on KZbin and try to make it work again, you gave me a clue already so thank you and please wish me luck
