Hey man awesome vids I was just wondering I have the exact same computer as you. I dont really want to mess around with the gpu settings and all that, I was wondering if there was a setting I could play this game at with a pretty good framerate.

Yes. The Y40 is a step down from the Y410p, even though the Y40 is newer. Even the Y40's i7 processor can't compare to this one, since it houses one that's being used in Ultrabooks. Its GPU is also significantly weaker than the 750M.

If you're gaming in 1080p, most likely with the advanced graphics settings I used here. If lower, then yes, but you probably need to turn down texture detail to Medium since 2 GB VRAM isn't enough for High textures.

Oh, okay. Then you'll have no problem running it on High ('cept fpr textures) and get very playable framerates.

What would be the best settings for performance the laptop then when playing on y410p? I know the game is already out, I have been trying to get it running because I get a dxgi_device_error_removed

I sometimes get that, too, when the game crashes, but rarely crashes anymore. Is your laptop Malaysian by any chance?

Oh. Because the crashing issue is usually associated with Malaysian Y410ps. I run most games in 1366 x 768.

This game really scales bad when lowering resolution.In most games you double at least your fps from 1080p to 768p.I saw 750M Ti running on max 30-40fps with smaa2tx on 1080p!My 765M oc should perform the same except aa and ixpect actually about 10% better fps when game ready drivers arrive but its shocking that 765M/770M can max it and 750M can only 768p on low

byte.me here you have closed beta benchmark for a lot of cards www.gamersnexus.net/game-bench/1782-evolve-graphics-benchmark-nvidia-vs-amd you should buy the second 750M it will be much stronger.In most cases better than 770M/860M.they announced a day one performance patch(3GB) so it could run a bit better.750M isnt made for 1080p gaming but by adding the second card you could game in full hd once nvidia releases support for dsr for notebooks

Yeah, that much I know. But I won't really go as far and say that adding another 750M would make performance better than a 770M/860M, since games rarely scale above 80% with the second card in SLI. I don't really need to game in 1080p, and the performance would be about the same if I added another card and play at that resolution. I would still want to get one, though, in preparation for The Witcher 3. Unfortunately, the only place I know where I could get it is Thailand, and I'm not sure they if ship outside the country. Good news is my friend would go be traveling there soon and I could ask him to get it for me. I just hope it's still in stock when that happens.

Just overclock your 750M and watch temps.I overclocked mine 760M by 336mhz/750mhz and it stays 73-74max during winter and max 78-79C during hot summer.I think lenovo had a 2x755m system also which is basically a 750m overclocked and according to notebookcheck its 2x755m is 12% faster than 770M.It would be a problem to run witcher 3 for both.We are under minimum requirements but i hope i can play it by reducing resolution to 900p

Huh... Guess it's different with real-world experience, and that's only going to be good news for me. A 755M is just 35 MHz higher than the 750M on stock, and it barely showed any improvement. Heck, I even tried overclocking mine by 135 MHz once and tested it on Shadow of Mordor and Evolve. Both games showed a performance increase of 3 fps on average. Sadly, I think the BIOS caps overclocking up to 135 MHz only and I may need a hacked BIOS to bypass the restriction, which I'm not keen on installing. The only option I have for better gaming performance is the second 750M I plan to get later on. Also, I'm quite fine playing in 768p, so the performance boost I'll be getting in The Witcher 3 will be excellent. I live in Southeast Asia and the heat here is pretty bad, especially in the summer. I usually get 80+ degrees, even during cold seasons. Perhaps it's my laptop's cooling. What laptop brand do you have, anyway?
